Suvla Wines is a family-owned winery located in Eceabat, Turkey, along the scenic Canakkale Strait, also known as the Dardanelles. Nestled in the historic Gallipoli Peninsula, the winery derives its name from a nearby bay that complements the family’s vineyards overlooking the Aegean Sea. Founded in 2003 by Pinar and Selim Zafer Ellialti, Suvla Wines was established with a deep respect for the region's unique soil, climate, and history.
Organic Grape Varieties
The vineyards at Suvla Wines are organically certified and surrounded by stunning pine trees and fragrant lavender fields. The hardpan soil and northwestern winds create an ideal microclimate for cultivating high-quality grapes. Spanning 90 hectares, the estate produces a diverse range of wines. White varietals include Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Roussanne, and Marsanne, while red varietals feature Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah, Cabernet Franc, Grenache Noir, Petit Verdot, and Pinot Noir. The wines are known for their subtlety and rich character, offering elegant finishes that pair beautifully with various cuisines.
