Suvla Wines- A family Owned Winery and Viticulture Company in Turkey

Suvla Wines is a family owned winery and viticulture company that is located in Turkey along the Canakkale Strait in Eceabat. This region is also known as Dardanelles and is part of the historic Peninsula of Gallipoli. The winery takes its name from a bay close to the family’s vineyards in the Aegean Sea. The first vineyards of the Suvla Wines winery were planted in 2003 by Pinar and Selim Zafer Ellialti with special consideration for the soil, sun, wind and history of the area.

Grape Varieties

The Suvla Wines vineyards are organically certified and surrounded by magnificent pine trees and lavender fields. The hardpan soil and the winds coming from the north west contribute to the terroir of the area and together create the perfect microclimate for the production of high-quality grapes. The winery has 90 hectares of organic vineyards that house a range of wines. The white varietals that are grown include Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Roussanne and Marssane. The reds include Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah, Cabernet France, Grenache Noir, Petit Verdot and Pinot Noir. Since then the wine production of the winery has grown dramatically and today the Suvla Wines estate produces wines that are both subtle and rich in character with beautifully elegant finishes that compliment a wide range of cuisines.

The team at Suvla Wines are focused on producing only the highest quality Turkish wines using highly sophisticated equipment and only the best quality grapes. The modern winery is also home to a traditional olive oil mill.

The Suvla Wines winery and estate has been awarded a number of medals and accolades for their excellent quality wines.
