Acquired by the Naankuse Foundation, Neuras Wine and Wildlife Estate aims to produce high-quality wines that support vital conservation efforts. As the second-driest vineyard globally, it also serves as a key research site for the protection of the African Leopard and Spotted Hyena.
Spanning 14,500 hectares, this reserve is a significant conservation research area for the N/a’an ku sê Foundation. Visitors can engage in various activities that highlight the rugged landscape, vineyards, and breathtaking desert sunsets. Somewhere it says that this is the winery in the driest region on earth. Yes, it's dry and dusty, but wine is actually grown here. We were able to see for ourselves during a detailed tour of the vineyards followed by a wine tasting. The wines certainly have potential; we certainly enjoyed them. The estate is run with passion and dedication. The accommodations are functional and clean. Breakfast and the evening menu were very good. There's a pool to relax by and free Wi-Fi. Truly an exceptional location.

We had an amazing wine tasting experience, Billy was extremely knowledgeable on the wines and the estate itself. We also had a delicious cheese board to share which was brilliant!

Neuras is a peaceful retreat offering cozy wooden cabins, wine tasting, and delicious food. Though there’s no wildlife, the small vineyard adds charm. Its location is ideal for exploring Sossusvlei and Sesriem Canyon. Pros: Quiet, cozy, great wine and food, excellent location. Cons: No wildlife, limited on-site activities.
