One of the first boutique wineries in Judean Hills
Tzora Vineyards is one of the first boutique wineries in Judean Hills, Israel. The Judean Hills bear the perfect conditions for growing grapes for the wine as they rise sharply from the coastal plains. The man-made terraces of this rugged area bend in a multitude of directions as they follow the contours of the steep slopes.
Vineyard with unique terroir
This region has variations in soils from rocky limestone to soils rich in minerals. These characters of the terroir contribute to the major attributes of the wines like the character, the balance and the longevity of the wines. Their wines reflect the Judean Hills’ unique Terroir. This goal is achieved by making wine only from fruit exclusively grown in their estate vineyard. Hard work is done in the estate-grown vineyard and there is minimal intervention in the winery. The balance is achieved in the estate with two main tools—differentiation and selection.
Different wine labels of the winery
The best fruits are selected by shoot thinning, green harvest, and by sorting of clusters and berries. The estate is run by a small team that shares a deep and profound love for fine wines. It is that passion that drives them to work with dedication both in the vineyards as in the wine cellar. The wines made in this winery are classified as Judean Hills wines. They produce red, white and dessert wines and those wines are named accordingly ‘ like Judean Hills’ Red and Blanc, ‘Shoresh’ Red and Blanc, ‘Misty Hills’, and so on. They are made from the grape varieties like Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Merlot, Petite verdot, Cabernet Franc, Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay, Gewurztraminer.
