One of the First Boutique Wineries in Judean Hills

Tzora Vineyards stands as one of the pioneering boutique wineries in the Judean Hills of Israel. This region offers ideal conditions for grape cultivation, with its steep slopes rising dramatically from the coastal plains. The carefully crafted terraces of this rugged landscape follow the natural contours, creating a unique environment for viticulture.

Unique Terroir of the Vineyard

The Judean Hills feature a diverse range of soils, from rocky limestone to mineral-rich earth. These variations contribute significantly to the character, balance, and longevity of the wines produced here. Tzora Vineyards focuses on showcasing the unique terroir by using only grapes grown on their estate. The vineyard team employs minimal intervention in the winemaking process, ensuring that the wines reflect the true essence of the land. Key practices include careful differentiation and selection of grapes to maintain quality.

Distinct Wine Labels from Tzora Vineyards

The winery's small, passionate team is dedicated to producing exceptional wines. They meticulously select the best grapes through techniques such as shoot thinning, green harvesting, and sorting clusters and berries. Tzora Vineyards produces a variety of wines classified as Judean Hills wines, including red, white, and dessert options. Notable labels include ‘Judean Hills’ Red and Blanc, ‘Shoresh’ Red and Blanc, and ‘Misty Hills’. The wines are crafted from a selection of grape varieties, including Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Merlot, Petit Verdot, Cabernet Franc, Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, and Gewurztraminer.

The wine is very good, the attention of Lior who did the tasting for us; very kind and professional, seeing people who love what they do and want to make quality wines. Bravo!

Perfect winery, calm and pleasant atmosphere. Rich, complex and delicious wines. Pleasant hospitality of the staff, it is worth coming just for the Eran Peak that makes the winery stand out.

A lovely and pleasant place. We arrived on a Friday morning with a few other friends. We thought there would be an extensive menu, but then discovered they only served hard cheese and bread. We were a bit disappointed because we arrived hungry... Otherwise, everything was absolutely perfect! High-quality and tasty wine. Friendly staff, breathtaking views; you really feel like you're sitting inside a painting.

We did a wine tasting for my husband's birthday, and the experience was wonderful. Together with the wines, our host Michal was warm, personable, and interesting - we learnt the history of the winery, its transitioning to the modern wine industry, and the foreseeable future. We learnt to appreciate the complete life cycle of the wine, from the ground up and touch on the complexities of making a good, quality wine. The tasting itself was a sensory explosion of notes, and really coming to respect the process of wine making. Our favourite by far and bottle we definitely bought, the Shoresh Levan (white) has to be tasted. I even enjoyed the Shoresh red which didn't have an overpowering oak finish like most reds, very subtle. Enjoyed the dessert wine, as well as listening to how it is made. The cheese and bread platter was wonderful, as was their boutique olive oil. We will definitely be back for more. Bravo!

This great winery near Beit -Shemesh had a wonderful hospitality and the possibility of a private room. The wine Is superb! Especially the Misty Hills and Shoresh. Judean Hills is also excellent. We loved the white one too. Cheese plate that go with the wine tasting are a bit small with no vegetables or fruit. We had a very nice Afternoon with friends and also got 10% off because one of us had the membership.

We booked a wine tasting using the winery website. As it were, we were the only guests at the time. We tasted 4 wines, accompanied with fresh bread and cheeses. Our host, Shula, talked about the history of the winery and its approach to matching the vineyards to the terroir, and of course about the wines and the people who make them. We spent a most pleasurable hour at the hospitality room with our host. The winery produces well-known wines, highly thought-of by wine aficionados. We, of course, bought some to take home. Highly recommended.
