Van Ardi Winery is located in the charming village of Sasunik, nestled in the picturesque Aragatsotn region of Armenia, surrounded by the majestic mountains of Ararat, Aragats, and Ara.

A Family Winery Fueled by Passion

Founded by Varuzhan Mouradian, Van Ardi is a family-owned winery that began its journey two decades ago. After falling in love with the art of winemaking, Varuzhan and his family left their lives in Los Angeles to return to their roots in Armenia in 2008. Their commitment to quality and sustainability is evident in their biodynamic practices, which they apply both in the vineyard and the winery.

Van Ardi produces a range of unique, high-quality wines, earning numerous international awards and accolades. The winery's mission is to revive Armenia's rich wine culture, offering not just exceptional wines but also memorable experiences. Visitors can enjoy guided wine tastings and tours, allowing them to appreciate the lifestyle that wine embodies.

Grape Varieties at Van Ardi

At Van Ardi, respect for nature is paramount. The winery cultivates a diverse selection of grape varieties, including Areni, Kakhet, Haghtanak, Kangun, Voskehat, and Syrah. Only the finest grapes are harvested for winemaking, ensuring that each bottle reflects the quality and character of the region.

As a result, Van Ardi produces exceptional red, white, and rosé wines, all carefully fermented and matured in their cellars.

Anastasia was possibly the very best wine tour expert we have experienced in Armenia. She took the time needed to explain everything in great and passionate detail. This is something I truly appreciated. Thank you for a wonderful tour! Overall this is a must visit! Thank you @bucketlisttravelarmenia for putting this together.

Van Ardi Winery is a heavenly beautiful place with amazing events, gorgeous views and divine wine. We were at Otros Aires tango concert and at Katil Band concert and both evenings were unbelievably special and memorable. The owner’s wife is one of the most adorable and humble people I have ever met and she’s extremely hospitable. I absolutely love this place and will definitely keep attending their events.

Great place! Here you can see a vineyard, which is not everywhere in Armenia. There are wineries without a vineyard; they bring grapes to the factory. For the best wine tasting experience, I recommend having lunch at the outdoor restaurant.
