The Estate of Winnica De
Winnica De stands out as one of the few vineyards in Poland that produces wines using traditional Qvevri and amphora techniques. In addition to their exquisite wines, they create cosmetics infused with grape extracts sourced from their vineyard. Spanning approximately 3 hectares, the estate features a winery and a charming rural tourism cottage, all nestled within the stunning Barycz Valley Landscape Park, a protected area under the international Living Lakes program. The landscape here is reminiscent of Burgenland, offering a unique Polish twist on this picturesque setting.
The Vineyards of Winnica De
The philosophy behind Winnica De is to adopt a “hands-off” approach to viticulture, allowing the vines to thrive with minimal human intervention. This method aims to produce wines that are as natural as possible. Founded in 2006, the vineyard is located in the scenic village of Czeszyce, within the Barycz Valley Landscape Park in Lower Silesia. The 3-hectare estate is divided into seven plots, featuring a diverse selection of grape varieties, including Gewürztraminer, Riesling, Solaris, and a smaller amount of Pinot Gris for whites, along with Regent, Pinot Noir, and Dornfelder for reds.
Qvevri Wines: A Polish First
The Qvevri is an ancient vessel used for winemaking for over 8,000 years, a tradition that has been preserved in Georgia. At Winnica De, this time-honored method is employed to craft their wines. Leri Papidze, a Georgian ceramic artist and friend of the owners, played a crucial role in bringing this unique winemaking technique to Poland. As pioneers in the country, Winnica De proudly offers Qvevri wines that reflect both tradition and innovation.

I took advantage of Winnica's hospitality during photography workshops. I highly recommend staying here. The surroundings are very nice and well-kept. You can drink and buy delicious local wine. The house has everything you need, clean and pleasant. Peace and quiet around.

We had the pleasure of staying in a house in Winnica de Sas. Beautiful surroundings, quiet, nice hostess. Lots of space to relax. We recommend it wholeheartedly. The only drawback is poor coverage and the road from Milicz is not the best. Santa and Paweł.

It's impossible to describe this place in words. It is magical, unique, unfussy and in harmony with nature. The atmosphere of openness and cordiality created by the owners is shared by all guests visiting the Vineyard.
