For more than 125 years, Bodega Santa Rosa has welcomed visitors into a world where history, family, and winemaking come together. Founded in 1898 by Juan Bautista Passadore and cared for by eight generations, the winery has preserved a legacy built on patience, craftsmanship, and a deep respect for the land.
Beneath the vineyards lie remarkable underground cellars—among the largest still in operation in South America—where time quietly shapes every bottle. Here, tradition meets innovation, creating wines and sparkling wines that express the character of Uruguay and invite every guest to become part of a story that continues with each vintage.
They will visit the largest operating underground wine cellar on the continent, home to the largest collection of barrels imported from Czechoslovakia. They will also have the opportunity to discover and learn, alongside the winemaker, the production process of our Fond de Cave sparkling wine. The tour concludes in the 1820 cellar, which is set up for tastings and lunch.
It's a unique experience that you can't miss if you come to Montevideo.
