Our visit to Maude tasting room was an exceptional experience. The atmosphere was warm and inviting with the wines some of the best we had stamped while in New Zealand. Lewis hosted us and his knowledge of the winery and wines was great, his obvious passion for wine definitely came through. All in all a wonderful experience from start to finish. Would definitely recommend.

A lovely way to spend an afternoon basking in the sun at Maude! The wine tasting was super fun and Lewis was really knowledgeable about the different wines. The tasting was really casual (in a good way) and our whole tasting group had lots of yarns and laughs while trying some wines. The wines themselves were delicious! Maude is a stellar little spot, beautiful view and fab customer service! The rosé was a real winner!

I saw a review elsewhere to come to this tasting room, I'm so glad I came here instead. 8 wines for $20 and tasting waivered if you bought 2 bottles. We had Lewis doing our tasting he was so good, made it personal and had chats with all of us, I'm not a red drinker but the different pinot noirs they have omg amazing I even bought a bottle (and a pinot gris too 😏) Definitely head to this tasting room if your in Wanaka!

Fantastic winer tasting experience with a fantastic view! Our wine expert Lewis was a perfect combination of funny and relaxed, while also being extremely knowledgeable and professional. The whole tasting really gave off the atmosphere of a family run winery and would highly recommend this to anyone. I would also recommend going to the winery before your tasting or sticking around afterwards, as the outdoor seating offers incredible views over lake Wanaka. Thank you again Maude Winery!

We had a wonderful wine tasting, hosted by Lewis who was an absolute superstar. Funny, informative and very welcoming to our group. Highly recommend popping by… and don’t be afraid to give him a bit of banter. The wines were wonderful and the story behind them very interesting. It’s also a lovely venue, very handy to town, so very accessible. Enjoy!
