Exceptional Wines from a Prime Vineyard
The family’s estate vineyard, Mt. Maude, was established in 1994 on the northern slopes of the Maungawera Valley, just outside Wanaka. This region is renowned for its ideal conditions for viticulture, including optimal temperature, rainfall, sunshine, and soil quality. The vineyard primarily grows Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Riesling, and Pinot Gris, which are used to produce a diverse range of high-quality red, white, rosé, and sparkling wines.
Passion and Expertise Behind Every Bottle
Sarah-Kate and Dan pour their energy, hard work, and expertise into every aspect of winemaking. Joining them in this endeavor are Sarah-Kate’s parents, Dr. Terry Wilson and Dawn, who share their enthusiasm for utilizing grapes from the best regions. The wines at Maude Wines reflect the unique characteristics of their southern hemisphere terroir, offering a taste that is distinctly their own.
