We went to Bodega Spolert for the “open cellars” event, both to taste their fantastic wines and to spend the night in the tranquility of the vineyards. The rooms are quiet, cleanliness at the highest level, service and breakfasts are fantastic. Try it to believe it. And to top it all off the wine is sensational. Well done Faten and Riccardo. Highly recommended.

Riccardo and his wife are such hospitable and friendly people. You feel at home as soon as you arrive. Everything has been tastefully decorated and renovated. The wines are top-notch and the wine tasting and breakfast are also recommended. The two try to fulfill all of the guests' wishes. Our dog was also welcome. We will definitely come back.

We had an amazing stay at Spolert! Starting with a welcome drink to enjoy the super picturesque view out the back, through to the plentiful and tasty breakfasts, through to a wine tasting of their full range (great quality wines, particularly their reds). Faten was an excellent host throughout our stay, giving recommendations for the area as well. The location was a great base for exploring Friuli Venezia Giulia, as well as being super quick to cross into the Brda region of Slovenia. A bonus was the 2 boxers that would greet us from the balcony on arrival, and the resident goats and donkey.

We visited Spolert spontaneously on our way back into Slovenia and didn't have any plans other than to browse the shop. We quickly realised there was an event on but Riccardo and Faten welcomed us with open arms and suggested we sample a few wines. 3 hours later we were overwhelmed by the generosity and kindness they both shared. The night prior we ate at Hisa Franko and this was of course an incredible evening but both my wife and I left Spolert feeling fortunate to have found the winery, we both agreed it was our new favourite experience simply because of the hosts and the breathtaking setting and of course the incredible wines. If you are within driving distance then we strongly recommend giving Riccardo and Faten a visit. You will not be disappointed.

Riccardo and his wife are excellent hosts who love what they do and their love for wine, animals and nature is contagious☺️ Schiopettno, Ribolla, Friulan there is something for everyone! Excellent cold cuts and super delicate cheeses, with the possibility of tastings of various sizes with a truly relaxing and satisfying view! Everything is taken care of down to the smallest detail and the possibility of recharging the electric car is also useful 🥂 Excellent 👍🏻
