Spolert Winery

We had an amazing stay at Spolert! Starting with a welcome drink to enjoy the super picturesque view out the back, through to the plentiful and tasty breakfasts, through to a wine tasting of their full range (great quality wines, particularly their reds). Faten was an excellent host throughout our stay, giving recommendations for the area as well. The location was a great base for exploring Friuli Venezia Giulia, as well as being super quick to cross into the Brda region of Slovenia. A bonus was the 2 boxers that would greet us from the balcony on arrival, and the resident goats and donkey.

Everything was perfect

Dear Fatin and Riccardo! We had wonderful days at your winery. I don't have the right words to describe the wonderful hospitality. It was just great!!!! We'll definitely be back, whether you want us to or not...🤣 Best wishes, Melanie and Harry

We visited Spolert spontaneously on our way back into Slovenia and didn't have any plans other than to browse the shop. We quickly realised there was an event on but Riccardo and Faten welcomed us with open arms and suggested we sample a few wines. 3 hours later we were overwhelmed by the generosity and kindness they both shared. The night prior we ate at Hisa Franko and this was of course an incredible evening but both my wife and I left Spolert feeling fortunate to have found the winery, we both agreed it was our new favourite experience simply because of the hosts and the breathtaking setting and of course the incredible wines. If you are within driving distance then we strongly recommend giving Riccardo and Faten a visit. You will not be disappointed.

Riccardo and his wife are excellent hosts who love what they do and their love for wine, animals and nature is contagious☺️ Schiopettno, Ribolla, Friulan there is something for everyone! Excellent cold cuts and super delicate cheeses, with the possibility of tastings of various sizes with a truly relaxing and satisfying view! Everything is taken care of down to the smallest detail and the possibility of recharging the electric car is also useful 🥂 Excellent 👍🏻

Beautiful farmhouse surrounded by greenery. Excellent wine cellar, tasting their wines was a pleasant experience. The owners were very kind and helpful, they made us feel at home. We spent two days relaxing and having fun together. We hope to be able to return soon. Absolutely recommended!

Highly recommend a visit here! Beautiful wines, cheese and views. The owners are so lovely and so welcoming. Could not recommend highly enough.

A wonderfully quiet place with a beautiful garden, the view was stunning, the wines were excellent, our 2-year-old daughter was given a warm welcome and our every wish and expectation was fulfilled. We definitely want to come back.

Excellent wines and great service - hope to be back soon

The Spolert experience is the pampering you need and that exceeds your expectations. We stayed in the apartment, right in front of the cellar, aware that we had selected Spolert to fully experience the atmosphere of the Collio and its peace. The apartment is modern, spacious, new, well furnished and has everything you might need even for longer stays (e.g. washing machine). Dogs are super welcome and the breakfast is excellent: sweet and savory, with quality products. The Spolert cellar obviously offers the possibility of wine tasting and platters, we particularly appreciated their Schioppettino Peper and it was pleasant to chat outside with the people who visit, all grateful for this youthful atmosphere that is created. But what makes the difference is certainly the approach and dedication of the owner. Riccardo has an admirable acumen but is also a splendid person, devoted to the project and hospitality, who knows how to satisfy guests and above all knows how to make you feel part of his world, ready to share ideas and evenings. It was an experience that transported us into its dimension and made us understand a little but above all love the territory. We left, not only with a good number of bottles of wine, but also with the promise to return!

We went to Bodega Spolert for the “open cellars” event, both to taste their fantastic wines and to spend the night in the tranquility of the vineyards. The rooms are quiet, cleanliness at the highest level, service and breakfasts are fantastic. Try it to believe it. And to top it all off the wine is sensational. Well done Faten and Riccardo. Highly recommended.

We were there during the “Vigneti Aperti” initiative and we had a great time: the location has an excellent view that can be admired from the garden, while enjoying one of the many good wines produced. The owners made us feel at ease right away by introducing us to the wine list and explaining very well the proposals and techniques they use to ferment some of the more refined wines. We liked the wine so much that we bought a bottle and will definitely be back.

Very helpful owners, a truly close-knit couple, Riccardo is extremely prepared and you can see the passion in what he does and together with his wife he managed to create an oasis in which to taste excellent wine while you can rest for a few moments enjoying a memorable view and peace. My husband and I went with friends to their place for the picnic experience and they met our needs (a baby and a new one on the way) making us spend a beautiful half day! We will return ... also to buy their wine again!

Riccardo and his wife are such hospitable and friendly people. You feel at home as soon as you arrive. Everything has been tastefully decorated and renovated. The wines are top-notch and the wine tasting and breakfast are also recommended. The two try to fulfill all of the guests' wishes. Our dog was also welcome. We will definitely come back.

At the end of August 2022, we spent five nights as a couple in the holiday apartment on the winery and felt very comfortable and welcome. Although it is primarily a producing winery and the harvest was starting, we experienced friendly attention and natural attention at all times. Three spacious rooms consisting of a large kitchen-living room (large table, no sofa/TV) and two bedrooms with comfortable beds and large closets. Modern, good equipment (air conditioning, washing machine and dishwasher). Beautiful garden with a wonderful view. Very good breakfast with high-quality ingredients (e.g. freshly sliced San Daniele) and small daily changes. Very nice and detailed tasting of the excellent wines. Booking via direct contact (telephone/Whatsapp) and payment on site (credit card) super pleasant and uncomplicated. Ideal location for excursions to the Colli Orientali, Collio/Brda (SLO), Udine/San Daniele and Aquilea/Grado. All in all, we thought the atmosphere and content were great and the price was absolutely OK. A clear recommendation!

Riccardo welcomed us very warmly, and that on a Sunday before August 15th without prior registration. 😅🙈 The tasting took place with a view of the vineyard and he opened every wine we wanted to try. There was also a bit of antipasti. The wines are at a pleasant Collio price level and are of very good quality in comparison. If you take the appropriate amount of wine home with you, both the tasting and the food are included - at least that was the case for us. If you go to Collio, you should stop by Riccardo for a tasting, we will be back.

Amazing wine and conversation. I hope to see this winery live a long life.
