Immerse yourself in the world of winemaking and discovery at The Port & Wine Experience, a captivating journey through one of Portugal’s greatest passions. Designed for curious travelers and wine lovers alike, this exhibition offers a friendly, interactive space to explore the history, science, and flavors behind every bottle.

Begin your visit by uncovering how soil, climate, and grape varieties shape the character of different wines. Follow the step-by-step transformation from vine to cellar, learning how centuries-old techniques continue to influence modern production methods.

A major highlight is the journey through Portugal’s iconic wine regions. From the lush hills of Vinho Verde and the sun-baked plains of Alentejo to the unique volcanic soils of the Azores and Madeira—and, of course, the world-famous terraced vineyards of the Douro Valley—you’ll gain a deep appreciation for the country’s rich winemaking tradition.

To top off your experience, enjoy a guided tasting led by knowledgeable Wine Experts. You’ll sample three distinct wines—a white, a red, and an authentic Port wine—while learning how to evaluate aromas, identify key tasting notes, and talk about your preferences with ease.

Located at WOW in Vila Nova de Gaia, The Port & Wine Experience is a celebration of over 7,000 years of culture and craftsmanship. A must-visit attraction to enrich your stay in Porto.

An innovative and beautiful museum from a structural and design point of view. It is based on a series of museum centers that allow the visitor to live sensory experiences of great interest (history of coffee, chocolate, etc ...). The terrace located on the top floor of the building is splendid and panoramic. I absolutely recommend a visit!

WOW (World of wine) A cultural district where gastronomy and fashion also come into play. Opened in 2020, this 55,000 m² complex features six museums, an art gallery, a hotel and a dozen restaurants, as well as themed shops and other facilities. All housed in former wineries. The ideal place to end the day with a glass of Port.

Sensational experience. If you have the slightest interest in wine, you will love this exhibition. Everything is in there; from the type of soil to the different sort of vines, how to plant them and the maintenance over every single month in the calendar year, how to produce wine and store it in barrels, producers around the world and all is finishing with Portugal's wine regions and obviously the famous Port wine. We spent more than 5 hours in there...🍷

Pip is one of my favorite restaurants at WOW! It's beautiful and sophisticated with affordable prices! The Italian food is the highlight, but there are other good options too. You can go for both a romantic or family atmosphere too! On weekends, there is a corner with some entertainment for children, which is great because parents have more time to enjoy the drinks and dishes! Adeleine, Romario, Barbara and Jorge, the waiters Jessica and Joana are 5 stars. In short, the entire team is always smiling and the service is impeccable!!! The service is fast and I can't miss my Pink Croft rose wine!!! I really recommend this one because it is one of our favorite restaurants. Thank you to Pip for the care and attention!!

The best! A must in Porto especially on a rainy winter day!! Interactive, full of explanations, beautiful settings and most of the museums come with a little dégustation of wine or porto… I mean what else can someone ask? I suggest the full pass for the day.
