Perfect for beginners, “LE BASI” is an immersive wine tasting experience in La Morra designed to introduce guests to the most iconic grape varieties of the Langhe: Dolcetto d’Alba DOC, Barbera d’Alba DOC Superiore, and Langhe Nebbiolo DOC. Taking place in a restored 18th-century Ciabòt in Rocchettevino, just outside La Morra, this tasting will skip the vineyard tour and focus fully on the wines and how to taste them properly.

Led by passionate wine experts, the session includes tips on tasting techniques, helping newcomers understand aromas, structure, and expression in the glass. This is an ideal experience for those with limited time or who want to take their first steps into the world of Piedmont wines.

Tastings are paired with artisanal grissini and fresh water, all enjoyed in a relaxed and intimate setting surrounded by Langhe’s rolling hills.

The owner gave us a lovely and very interesting tour of the vineyard. Afterwards, we tasted the fantastic wines with a passionate explanation of the various processes. Giovanni took his time and happily answered our questions. Highly recommended; we'll definitely be back!

Thank you, John! We spent two hours with Giovanni at his estate in Gheddo. He showed us his vineyard, demonstrating all the techniques of the trade, and tasted all the wonderful wines from his cellar. We'll be back!

One of the best Barolos I've ever tried!! Giovanni is a super passionate winemaker ad a very fun guy, I really enjoyed getting to know his wines and his story. Super recommended visit if you are on La Morra region and want to try a REAL authentic, honest and local product.
