About Ghëddo

Mattia and Giovanni are the heart of Ghëddo, a small and youthful winery rooted in the rich soil of Piedmont. With around three hectares of vineyards, we prioritize individual care for each plant, allowing us to understand our land's unique potential. Our work is guided by three core principles: respecting the vineyard ecosystem, producing exceptional wine, and enjoying the process.

Our Vineyards

We cultivate vineyards in La Morra and also work in Roddino, located in the Roero area, as well as in the Tortona region. Our winery is situated in Monforte d’Alba, specifically in the Bussia area, known for its ideal grape-growing conditions.

Visit us

You can visit us at our historic Ciabòt nestled in the Rocchettevino vineyard. This choice reflects our philosophy of centering our production around the vineyard. We believe that great wine originates from the land, and our cellar work aims to honor that foundation.

The Ciabòt Experience

The Ciabòt is an 18th-century two-story building. The lower floor, which once housed a well, has been transformed into a bathroom and storage area. The upper floor retains its original purpose as a welcoming space for hospitality. Here, we host tastings, providing a cozy environment for guests to enjoy our wines, especially when the weather doesn’t permit outdoor gatherings.

Beautiful location, small but high-quality. Great people and very didactic and beautiful explanations. Average red wines, but the white wine is fantastic!
