Cigno Moro – Where wine becomes an emotion There are places you visit. And there are places that touch you – deeply and lastingly. Cigno Moro in Apulia undoubtedly belongs to the second category. For us, this winery wasn't just a destination on our trip to Italy – it was the reason for embarking on this journey in the first place. It all began with the "6er", a wine we were lucky enough to taste some time ago that absolutely enchanted us. So much so that we decided: We wanted to get to know this wine – and the people behind it. When we arrived at Cigno Moro, we knew immediately: what counts here is not quantity, but quality. Not show, but soul. The welcome was personal, warm – and accompanied by a wonderfully sparkling Rosé Frizzante that embodied the lightness of Apulia. Afterwards, we immersed ourselves in a world full of flavor, nature, and dedication. The vineyards through which the tour took us were not just beautiful – they were vibrant. Between ancient trulli houses that seemed straight out of a picture book, we were told about grape varieties that are carefully selected and cultivated with great respect for the terroir. No detail seemed to be left to chance. The wine tasting in the enchanting courtyard was a special chapter. In a relaxed, almost informal atmosphere, we sampled a selection characterized by style and artisanal precision. The "30s" Vecchie Vigne – a white wine with depth and structure – remained just as memorable as the Rosato "Pepe Nero," which captivated us with its elegance and delicate fruit. And then the "50s" Negroamaro: powerful, concentrated, but never heavy – a wine with backbone and soul. But as good as the wines were, it's the people who make this place special. Angela, our charming hostess, welcomed us with genuine warmth and in-depth knowledge. Luca prepared a culinary experience that far exceeded our expectations – regional specialties, skillfully prepared and perfectly matched to the wines. And Hugo – the creative mind and quiet conductor of the whole thing – embodies a new kind of winemaker: more artist than farmer, more visionary than entrepreneur. A particularly beautiful moment was the birthday surprise for a friend in our group: The team not only lovingly organized everything, but also arranged the transfer from Martina Franca – with a naturalness that deeply impressed us. Cigno Moro is not a typical winery. It is a place of encounters, of stories, of emotions. A place where you sense that wine can be more than a drink – namely, an expression of culture, personality, and attention to detail. We are grateful for this experience – and certain that we will return. Not just to drink wine, but to remind ourselves once again what true passion feels like.

Cigno Moro – More than a winery, an experience for a lifetime Our visit to Cigno Moro in Puglia was, without exaggeration, one of the highlights of our trip to Italy – and for good reason: We planned our entire three-week trip around this special place. The trigger? The legendary "6er" – a wine we had previously enjoyed and which impressed us so much that we absolutely wanted to experience the winery for ourselves. Even though we didn't taste it this time, it was the genesis of our trip and therefore definitely deserves a mention. From the moment we arrived, it was clear: something special awaited us here. The welcome was warm, stylish, and personal – with a wonderfully light Rosé Frizzante to welcome us. Afterwards, we embarked on a guided tour through the expansive vineyards, past the charming Trulli houses that give the region its distinctive character. We learned a lot about the winery's philosophy, the exceptional grape varieties, and the enormous dedication with which they work. A real highlight was the exclusive tasting in the atmospheric courtyard. The atmosphere was relaxed, informal, yet professional. The white wines – especially the "30s" Vecchie Vigne 2021 – were an absolute delight. The rosés, especially the Primitivo Rosato (Pepe Nero), also impressed with their refinement and depth. Among the red wines, the "50s" Negroamaro stood out in particular: an intense, elegant wine with plenty of character – powerful, yet not overpowering. Each wine seemed like a small work of art, characterized by a clear signature that ran through the entire range. A key part of this special experience were the people on site: Angela, our passionate and warm hostess, guided us with knowledge, charm, and genuine enthusiasm. Luca provided culinary delights with a selection of the finest regional specialties – including flambéed ham, hand-picked cheeses, and oven-fresh pancetta with tomato paste. Everything is prepared with love and perfectly matched to the wines. And then there's Hugo – the creative mind behind the house. Not a traditional winemaker, but more of an aesthetic composer of wine. He combines expertise with a sense of style, and you can feel it in every bottle – from the vine to the label. We were also particularly touched by how much effort the team put into making my birthday a very special event for us – including transfers to and from Martina Franca, completely organized by the winery. This hospitality is not just remarkable, it is exceptional. Our conclusion: Cigno Moro is not a place you simply visit – it is a place you feel, taste, and take with you in your heart. A winery with soul, character, and a hospitality that is second to none. We will definitely be back.

An unforgettable day at the Cigno Moro winery – where wine meets passion A few days ago, we had the great pleasure of visiting the Cigno Moro winery in Puglia – a truly extraordinary experience that we won't soon forget. The reception was warm and professional: We were greeted with a wonderfully refreshing Rosé Frizzante – a welcome that left us wanting more. This was followed by a guided tour through the picturesque vineyards, past the trulli houses typical of Puglia, where we gained deep insights into the winery's philosophy, the special grape varieties, and the loving craftsmanship that goes into each individual wine. Afterwards, we were treated to a personal, exclusive wine tasting in the stylish courtyard surrounded by vines. The white wines – especially the "30s" Vecchie Vigne 2021 – absolutely delighted us. The rosés, especially the Primitivo Rosato (Pepe Nero), were also of outstanding quality – fresh, delicate, and expressive. Of course, the red wines were also a must. We would particularly like to highlight the "50" Negroamaro, which impressed with its depth, elegance, and character – a truly top-class wine. Although we didn't taste it that day, the legendary "6er" also deserves a mention: a wine we already knew and which had captivated us so much that we planned our entire three-week trip to Italy around a visit to this winery. It was a heartfelt wish for us to experience Cigno Moro in person – and this wish was more than fulfilled. A very special highlight were also the people behind the wine: Angela, who guided us through the winery with charm and profound knowledge, and Luca, who treated us to fine regional specialties – flambéed ham, delicious cheese, homemade pancetta with tomato paste – a culinary feast for all the senses. And let's not forget Hugo, the creative mind behind the house – responsible for the selection of the grapes, a visionary who is more like a style master or sommelier than a traditional winemaker. His signature is evident in every bottle – from the composition to the label. A very special moment was the loving surprise for our friend's birthday, which we were able to celebrate that day. The Cigno Moro team had truly thought of everything – including pickup and return to and from Martina Franca. A gesture that touched us deeply and is anything but a given. Conclusion: A day that touched all the senses – with wines that last, people who inspire, and hospitality you'll never forget. Cigno Moro is not just a winery – it's an experience. And for us, it was the highlight of a successful trip!
