Write a reviewNic greeted us warmly at the door. As the owner/grower/harvester/wine maker, of the vineyard, he is a true artisan, an artist! He shared with us his family history of the land he and his family have owned and operated since the later part of the 1800’s. We visited the vineyard, where he explained the entire process of growing the grapes, protecting them from the elements, and the various insects and fungus that often can harm the crop. Then a visit by an old olive tree, which was estimated at over 200 years old. He then proceeded to take us inside the villa where we proceeded to taste 7 different wonderful wines. Definitely a must for anyone seeking a truly authentic experience!!!
To spend time with the winemaker on a tour is truly special, and Nic was fantastic! We learned so much. His wines are delicious, and he was a very gracious host.
Our tour and tasting were fabulous. We enjoyed the tour of the vineyards and hearing the family’s history. We tasted 7 wines, each one was delicious. This was the most personal and informative tasting we’ve done, thanks to Nic’s passion for his wine. We will definitely seek his wines out when we return to the U.S.
Great day out and highly informative and interesting for 4 very eager but until then uninformed wine drinkers . Now we feel a lot more informed . The wine was great too !
