A Family Legacy in Abruzzo's Scenic Hills
Rich Heritage in Pescara Province
Founded in 2015, Nic Tartaglia Winery is rooted in a family tradition that dates back to the 19th century. My great-great-grandparents established our vineyards, and for generations, we focused on producing and selling grapes to other wineries. However, I decided to take a bold step by crafting my own wines while still supplying a significant portion of our grape harvest to fellow winemakers.
Located in the picturesque hills of Pescara province, our winery sits at an elevation of 310–315 meters above sea level, surrounded by breathtaking mountains. In just a half-hour drive, you can enjoy the sandy beaches of the Adriatic Sea or hit the slopes for skiing in the winter.
Our vineyards primarily feature the traditional Abruzzo pergola (Tendone) system, where the vines grow overhead, creating a unique canopy effect. This method not only enhances the quality of our grapes but also reflects our commitment to sustainable and ethical farming practices.
At Nic Tartaglia Winery, we prioritize artisanal techniques and environmental responsibility, ensuring that every bottle of wine we produce embodies our dedication to quality and tradition.
