Located in the picturesque Moniga del Garda, Azienda Agricola Monte Cicogna specializes in producing exquisite wines under the "Riviera Garda Classico" designation, along with premium sparkling wines crafted using the traditional "metodo classico" technique, and high-quality extra virgin olive oil. This region boasts a Mediterranean microclimate, ideal for both viticulture and olive cultivation, enhanced by the proximity to Lake Garda and the surrounding wooded hills. The soil here is calcareous-clayey and of morainic origin, varying across different vineyards.
There are a total of four wines to taste, and we also pair them with a platter of local cured meats and cheeses. Pets are welcome, as are children, who can also find drawings to color on the grape harvest theme.
The vineyards and olive groves are strategically positioned on a south-east facing slope, gently descending towards the stunning Lake Garda. At the heart of the estate stands the impressive Renaissance-era Torrione, offering breathtaking views of the lush landscape. In nearby Desenzano del Garda, additional vineyards focus on producing the renowned Lugana white wine, celebrated for its quality and flavor.
Since 1908, the Materossi family has been dedicated to winemaking, and today, the fourth generation continues this proud tradition with the same passion and commitment as their ancestors.
