Rhône Wine Adventure at Domaine Vintur

Warm welcome and very kind guide. The tour of the cellar is very basic, rather disappointing, and the tasting is good but could use some improvements considering the price: it's a pity there's no demonstration of the corking and labeling machine for the children; a pity that the wine tasting doesn't come with a little something to eat; a pity that the children only get water to taste — a little grape juice would be welcome! However, a nice discovery of wines without an AOC designation that deserve to be known.

My wife and I had an excellent vineyard tour here last week on the same day that the Tour de France raced passed on their way up to Mont Ventoux. Graham, the owner, was friendly and knowledgeable - first outside amongst the vines, then inside with the wines. Despite the road chaos caused by the passing Tour caravan, he was generous with his time (and pourings!) even as we stopped for ten minutes to watch the race pass through. Lovely wines - some very pure expressions, particularly the Syrah/Grenache blend red “the Gentleman”. Great service. Lovely wines. Saw the Tour de France live, what more could you ask?
