I contacted Valeria at Poggio Maiolo to set up a wine-tasting when my family are in Umbria in late July. Unfortunately, she will be away then so wasn't able to do it, but I'm leaving this 5* review because she could not have been kinder and more helpful in her responses to me. She ended up sending me contact details for 5 other wineries we could try! I am blown away by how kind she has been and can only assume that doing a wine-tasting with her would be a wonderful experience. Super fun wine tasting! Valeria is very pleasant and talks passionately about the vineyard. Poggio Maiolo grows grapes that you won't immediately find in Umbria, so go here if you want something different from the standard and want to have a nice afternoon.
