Internationally renowned, with Umbrian individuality, this Sangiovese expresses the elegance of our wines in its most local interpretation. Grape variety Sangiovese 100% Alcohol 14% Vinification and aging Hand-picked. Whole bunch pressing with fermentation in steel at around 25°. Aged in second or third passage barriques for 1 year and another year in the bottle. Aroma and flavor Transparent red color from 100% Sangiovese grapes. On the nose violet, plum and spices of cinnamon vanilla and cloves. In the mouth it is dry, savoury with a long persistence of taste. Certified organic vineyard with southern exposure at 490 – 530 meters above sea level. Ocean floor soil, consisting of sedimentary clay, gravelly sands and alluvial silt with marine fossils (shells and oysters). Density c.5200 vines/ha. Yield 35hl/ha. Spurred cordon training system.
