Our wines reflect the unique character and passion of our land.

A Rich Winemaking Heritage

Château Cana is a testament to resilience and passion, nestled in the picturesque village of Ras El Harf in Mount Lebanon. Founded by Dr. Fadi Gerges, this winery transformed neglected land into flourishing vineyards, encouraging families from 30 nearby villages to return home after the civil war. Since 2001, Dr. Gerges has been handpicking grapes and sharing his extensive knowledge with local families, amassing over 20 years of winemaking expertise. In 2018, his daughter Joanna Gerges joined the family business, bringing over 12 years of brand management experience from l'Ecole Supérieur de Commerce de Paris (ESCP) to rejuvenate the winery's vision.

Château Cana Today

In response to customer feedback, Joanna rebranded the winery from “Clos de Cana” to “Château Cana,” emphasizing a commitment to enhancing the customer experience. The team prioritizes open communication with clients, ensuring that every visitor feels valued and connected to the winery's story.

Our Vineyards

Our vineyards thrive on ancient terraced slopes, basking in 300 days of sunshine each year. We embrace a natural winemaking approach, with manual grape harvesting and fermentation using wild yeast. This minimal intervention method allows the true essence of our terroir to shine through in every bottle.

In 2021, Château Cana proudly earned a spot among the Top 50 World's Best Vineyards, a recognition of our dedication to quality and craftsmanship.

A small winery but doing good things. They have a great event space and a small house that can be rented. The main building houses the bottling plant and the do tastings on appointment only, so do call ahead and book.
