A Rich Heritage of Winemaking

The story of Família Salton began in 1878 when Antonio Domenico Salton emigrated from Italy to Brazil in search of new opportunities. After years of informal winemaking, he was joined by his sons, who helped formalize the family business. In 1910, the Salton family received official certification for wine production, focusing primarily on sparkling wines and vermouth. Today, the fourth generation of the Salton family continues to honor their legacy by managing the winery with dedication and respect.

Quality Winemaking Practices

At Família Salton, producing high-quality wines is a top priority. The Salton family meticulously tends to their vineyards, which are cultivated without chemicals and harvested by hand. They grow a diverse selection of grape varieties, including Ancelota, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Malbec, Marselan, and Merlot. The vineyards also feature aromatic grapes such as Moscato, Pinot Noir, Glera, and Riesling, along with Sauvignon Blanc, Tannat, Teroldego, Trebbiano, and Viognier. These grapes are used to create a range of exceptional sparkling wines, as well as rich red, white, rosé, and dessert wines.
