Experience the Rich Heritage of Armenian Winemaking
Noah of Areni/NOA - A Legacy of Swiss Winemaking
Located in the picturesque Areni region of Armenia, Noah of Areni/NOA winery is a proud creation of St. Jakobskellerei Schuler & Cie AG Schwyz, one of Switzerland's oldest and most esteemed wine houses. In 2013, Mr. Jakob Schuler embarked on a quest to trace the roots of wine culture, leading him to the Caucasus. After numerous tastings and vineyard visits, he decided to establish a winery in the Vayots Dzor province. By 2017, the company acquired two vineyards in Rind and Aghavnadzor, which are now recognized as some of the best-managed vineyards in Armenia.
Expert Winemaking in Armenia
Under the guidance of talented winemaker Pavel Vartanyan, NOA produces exceptional wines from the unique grape varieties of the Areni region. Pavel oversees every step of the winemaking process, from grape cultivation to vinification in barrique barrels. NOA respects the natural fermentation process, allowing the grapes to transform into wine without artificial acceleration.
The winery cultivates several grape varieties, including Areni, Voskehat, Khatoun Kharji, and Tozot. NOA offers a diverse selection of red, white, rosé, and dessert wines, all carefully bottled after proper fermentation and maturation in their cellars.
Inviting Tasting Areas
NOA winery features charming country-style tasting areas in Rind and Aghavnadzor, where visitors can savor traditional Armenian dishes paired with NOA wines. Surrounded by the fresh mountain air and stunning views of the vineyards, guests can enjoy local hospitality and the rich flavors of Armenian winemaking, creating unforgettable memories.
