Avontuur Estate welcomes visitors nearly year-round for an unforgettable wine tasting experience. During your guided tour, you will learn about the diverse grape varietals grown on the estate and gain insight into the winemaking process. Visit the cellar to see how their award-winning wines are crafted, and discover the innovative techniques and equipment used in production.

After the tour, you can savor a selection of five wines of your choice, perfectly paired with fresh, locally sourced dishes from their restaurant. Don't miss their monthly special pairings, which may include delightful combinations like wine with biltong, fudge, or nougat. This experience is ideal for wine lovers seeking to enhance their palate and knowledge.

Important: A prepayment of 3 Euros per person is required during booking, and an additional fee of 150 ZAR (South African Rand) per person is due upon arrival at the winery.

We were at a wedding at this vineyard where we had rented the whole house and then had the whole area to ourselves including the pool and tennis court. Very nice staff with excellent service, I can absolutely recommend visiting this place for a nice event.

We met friends of us for lunch at Avontuur. It was our first time there. The food was great. Friendly service and staff. We had a lovely view.

We arrived for a wine tasting after booking very easily via email. We were greeted by Moerieda (Mo) who was lovely! The location was perfect and we sat outside on the terrace to enjoy our tasting. We were very open to different wines and she chose some great examples for us. Very informative and professional. We would definitely go back ! Great value for money also. 5*

Highly recommend doing the pairings not just the tastings. The portions are so generous and the pairings are delicious! It was really something amazing to experience and something a bit different. The service was just not as pleasant but let’s blame the silly season 🤪
