Avontuur Estate

We met friends of us for lunch at Avontuur. It was our first time there. The food was great. Friendly service and staff. We had a lovely view.

We arrived for a wine tasting after booking very easily via email. We were greeted by Moerieda (Mo) who was lovely! The location was perfect and we sat outside on the terrace to enjoy our tasting. We were very open to different wines and she chose some great examples for us. Very informative and professional. We would definitely go back ! Great value for money also. 5*

We were at a wedding at this vineyard where we had rented the whole house and then had the whole area to ourselves including the pool and tennis court. Very nice staff with excellent service, I can absolutely recommend visiting this place for a nice event.

Highly recommend doing the pairings not just the tastings. The portions are so generous and the pairings are delicious! It was really something amazing to experience and something a bit different. The service was just not as pleasant but let’s blame the silly season 🤪

Superb restaurant with perfect sundowner view

The wine and biltong pairing was superb! Each wine paired beautifully with the biltong sample and there was plenty of each. The kiddies option was pretty good too. It included nougat, fudge and fruit juice. We had 2 kids share a box and it was more than enough. Moerieda was friendly and knowledgeable. I highly recommend!

We ate very well. Service was very good. I recommend it.

Beautiful sunset with good food and delicious wine. The duck was very good as always, but the fillet was also excellent.
