The tour around the estate in a 4wheel drive was great. The guide was telling lots of interesting and historic facts. And the winetasting was a welcome ending of the experience.
We had a wonderful morning at Château Astros. We were greeted very warmly at first and then hopped into the jeep. We got an extensive tour of the entire estate, which was mostly about the property itself — really fascinating. We ended with a wine tasting! A great morning and highly recommended!
We took the Astros Adventure tour and our guide was lovely, but the property looked abandoned. The chateau did not match the photos we saw online, the grass was overgrown and the driveways were badly deteriorated. The tour was more so a tour of the estate rather than the wine tour we expected. We did not get to visit the cellar and the area of the vineyard we walked through had been impacted by frost and therefore there were no grapes to see.
It was a beautiful tour with a lots of history. The tasting was great, but we missed a bit the information about the wine. We come back next year for the tour by foot to discover the beautiful domain.
