From the moment our guide greeted us with a warm smile and impeccable English, it was clear this wasn’t going to be just another wine tour—it was a journey into the heart of winemaking. Though Spanish was his native tongue, he went above and beyond to ensure every explanation was clear and accessible, weaving in humor, history, and heartfelt passion. He painted a vivid picture of why this region is a winemaker’s dream, from its climate and soil to the traditions that shape each bottle. What truly stood out was his ability to balance technical insight with storytelling—his presentation was as educational as it was entertaining, making even the most intricate processes feel approachable and fascinating. This wasn’t just a tasting; it was a celebration of craftsmanship, culture, and connection. I left not only with a deeper appreciation for the wine, but also for the people and stories behind it.
We learned a lot about the Arlanza DO thanks to a true professional, and we tasted her best wines.
We had a really great time visiting the bodega. Ramiro was a lovely, warm host and made the wine experience come alive. The wines are amazing too, following traditions that have been around for generations. Fantastic.
