This place has so much history! The wines of the area are really something special and the family running this winery have been doing so for four generations. They have lovely gardens, an old distillery and a huge tasting room. I believe they do events as well.

Quinta do Sanguinhal is now one of my favorite wineries in Portugal. Our guide was gracious, accommodating, and very knowledgeable. This is not a cookie cutter wine tour. The winery is steeped in a strong family tradition, and you can tell they are proud of their production. We left with over half a dozen bottles and will be ordering many more in the future. This is a must visit!
