Located in the heart of Sangalhos, Sidónio de Sousa is a family winery with nearly a century of history and deep roots in the Bairrada region. Our 15 hectares of vineyards, planted on chalky clay soils, grow traditional varieties such as Baga, Bical, Maria Gomes, Cercial, and Arinto — some vines over 100 years old.
Our winery began with my great-grandfather and evolved through generations, with the first bottling made by Sidónio de Sousa in 1990 after receiving important national awards. Today, our name is known as a faithful guardian of Bairrada’s winemaking heritage.
