Azienda Agricola Ponterotto derives its name from the historic “Ponte Rotto” bridge that spans the Calore River. This ancient structure, part of the Appian Way, was built during Roman times to facilitate trade between the regions of Campania and Apulia. The winery is situated in Calore, within the municipality of Mirabella Eclano (Avellino), an area rich in history and natural beauty.
