Nikolaus, the owner is a diploma engineer in winemaking and oenology, His wife, Annette is author of five books about the Moselle and engineer of agriculture. They like to explain the technical aspects of winegrowing and oenology and also love to enjoy the wine with their guests, talk about its taste, food pairings, and its background, history, and cultural aspects. For an additional charge after arrangement, you can play their tasting game “flüssige zeit” (“liquid times”) with matured rieslings of four decades and/or taste the wine with a food pairing from a local caterer or a star-rated restaurant.

A wonderful experience

Annette was the most welcoming host we've ever encountered in a wine tasting. Beyond the excellent Köwerich Rieslings, she shared her expertise and enthusiasm for the Mosselle region, its art, heritage and history. We loved everything about this experience. Thank you so much!
