If you're looking for a genuine countryside experience, Weingut Peter Lauer winery is the ideal spot. Famous for crafting some of Germany's finest Riesling wines, this winery offers a unique 100% vegan wine production process that is both intriguing and enjoyable.
Join us for a 90-minute guided wine tour, where you'll engage in a sensory "vineyard tour" that highlights the diverse taste profiles shaped by the Saar Valley's unique landscape. During the terroir tasting, you'll sample exceptional wines from various vineyards, gaining insights into how the specific soil, topography, and climate influence each wine's character. Each vineyard offers a distinct landscape, resulting in a unique flavor profile.
During your visit, you can taste between 6 to 10 varieties of white, sparkling, and dessert wines. While we don't transport guests into the vineyards, you can take a short 5-10 minute walk from the tasting room to the vineyards. We provide a detailed map that highlights the best walking paths to scenic viewpoints overlooking the valley from the steep slate mountains.
We encourage all our guests to take the time to walk or drive up the vineyard slopes and enjoy the stunning views where our exceptional wines are born. This experience is perfect for wine lovers and those looking to appreciate the beauty of the Saar Valley.

For me, this winery is number 1 on the Saar! Very profound, almost salty wines 👍. We went on a wine tour to the Saar and Ruwer with our trainee and had a very friendly welcome in the wine shop at this down-to-earth winery.
