At Weingut Peter Lauer, Riesling is at the heart of everything we do. Nestled in Ayl, our winery boasts some of the finest steep slopes in the Saar region. We cultivate renowned vineyards, including the iconic Ayler Kupp, the picturesque Saar Feilser located right above the river, and the steeply sloped Schonfels vineyard further upstream. Recently, we have revitalized the historic Lambertskirch vineyard, just a short distance from Schonfels, bringing new life to this once-forgotten site.

For me, this winery is number 1 on the Saar! Very profound, almost salty wines 👍. We went on a wine tour to the Saar and Ruwer with our trainee and had a very friendly welcome in the wine shop at this down-to-earth winery.

We enjoyed an exceptionally great weekend with friends at the Ayler Kupp wine hotel with great wines and two fantastic menus on two different evenings. The friendliness of the entire team and the great commitment of Ms Riekert are particularly noteworthy. We would love to come back.

We were very well looked after by Günther despite there being a miscommunication and him not expecting us at the time we arrived. We sat outside and tasted 10 different excellent wines for only €20 p/person and free of charge for those of us who bought 6 wines.
