First class experience with the owner and fellow tasters, pairing and discussing food and wine in a relaxed atmosphere.

Our expectations were completely overwhelmed. Treated like family, all the detailed explanations from Rafael were spot on! All the food in the wine pairing were grown in the farm and you could taste that 100%. A must if you want to have an easygoing experience with an amazing view and food.

The welcome was warm. However, the program was not followed. We did not visit the vineyards as stated.

We had a wonderful time at Rafa’s – the wine and pairings were delicious! We learned a lot about the region, and Rafa is full of great anecdotes about his city and vineyards. We look forward to coming back with great pleasure!

We loved our experience. First of all, just getting to the property takes your breath away with the stunning landscapes of the Douro. Raphaël and his family gave us a warm welcome and treated us like friends. A wonderful discovery of wines and local products. It’s well worth the trip.

We just did a wine tasting with Rafael and it was like being invited to a family gathering. Foremost, it's the wine....superb! The basic is refreshing and instantly drinkable. The more upscale "best seller" big red holds up to the best from Italy and Spain in that category; and in fact, I'd say it stands by itself as a great representative of Douro red wines should be regarded as among the best in the world. But what really stands out, is sitting in Rafael's dining room, walking around the grounds with the beautiful gardens, enjoying the views, and hearing about his family history. We shared our stories with him, and he shared his stories with us. At the end, we hugged and like any good story, we look forward to more chapters and more wine! Our time with Rafael and his wine will be carried in our hearts. Thank you Rafael for sharing your wine, your family, and your passions.
