Great tasting from staff who went above and beyond

This winery and their staff went absolutely above and beyond for me today (and they have great wine and a great tasting experience). I was on my way to the winery when my uber driver took a wrong turn and we got caught out by flash flooding, they spent so much time on the phone with the uber driver and then ended up picking me up. Even though it was past closing time they still took me through their tour and wine tasting. The head wine maker and tourism manager showed me around their vineyard and olive groves, showed me through their facilities and how they make wine, and took me into their storage rooms. Their passion for wine and this diverse winery was palpable. The tasting of their wines was run by the head wine maker who took me through the making of their wines, and explained the wines really well. It was served with bread, quince marmalade, cheese and olives. For €20 it was a tasting and experience that was well worth it. The wines I purchased afterwards were very affordable, and if I ever come back to Evora I will stay at the accommodation at this winery in the future (they have a pool) Animals like sheep are kept on site to help with natural fertiliser and maintaining a diverse vineyard. Thank you both again for going above and beyond.

The wine is incrível, so that the staff has a lot of attensions and amável that no one can accompany them until they reach our stadium. Vinhos and products magníficos, de Certeza que iremos voltar. To escape from my Alentejo region, there is a lot of tranquility and peace. Muito obrigada Maria por toda atenção ☺️

After a delay getting to the winery we finally met Pedro. Gracious and informative. The winery has a different set up than we have seen other places and I found it interesting. We had gone because we had tasted their Baron D wine at a restaurant a few days prior. On-site we tasted a few others. All well done. Highly recommend visiting this winery. Cute dog. Friendly kitties. Do set up appointments as they have a gate.
