Established in the year 1983, Viticultores De Barros winery resides in one of the most fertile regions of the Tierra de Barros. The idea was generated by a group of expert vine growers from the sub-area of “Tierra de Barros- Land of Clay”, as they felt the need to unite their forces and knowledge, to create high-quality wines.
The name of the winery comes from the special characteristics of its reddish clay soil. The morphological characteristics of the Tierra de Barros region are an exceptional heritage for the cultivation of vineyards.

The work on the land is done by the hands of the experts that look after all the details of the growth so that the grapes are in the best condition. Their wines are born out of a great combination of modern oenological technologies, a unique fertile land, properly maintained vineyards, hard work and commitment of the entire team.
Grapes Growing in Extensive Land
Viticultores de Barros has more than 1,300 hectares. of own vineyards. The fact of having such a large extension of cultivation land allows them to make a careful and meticulous selection by cultivation plots to dedicate the best grapes to our bottled wine. By varieties, they currently produce the Tempranillo grape variety in reds and the Cayetana and Macabeo variety in white. Viticultores de Barros has always been a pioneer in the application of new winemaking techniques and technologies.
