Rich Heritage Since 1922

In 1922, the Boychevi family, known for their esteemed reputation in business, began cultivating vineyards in Bulgaria's Black Sea Coast region. Initially, they established a small winery for personal and local consumption. The winery was nationalized in 1952, leading to significant expansion. In 1998, brothers Simeon and Dimitar Boychevi, along with their partner Argir Hristoforov, revived the family’s winemaking tradition by cultivating 350 acres of vineyards near their new facility, Boyar Winery. Today, they manage over 700 acres, producing a diverse range of wines.

Boyar Winery combines time-honored techniques with modern technology. While some equipment dates back to the mid-20th century, contemporary methods have been integrated to enhance the winemaking process. After a brief fermentation, the wines are aged in French and Californian oak barrels before being bottled using an automatic bottling line.

Ideal Climate for Quality Grapes

The Pomorie region's soil has consistently produced high-quality grapes, reinforcing Boyar Winery's reputation for premium wines, Rakia, liqueurs, and brandies. The vineyards benefit from abundant sunlight throughout the year, while refreshing sea breezes naturally circulate the air, creating an optimal environment for grape cultivation.
