Caves Planas Albareda is located in the heart of Penedès, an area with a long winemaking tradition and good weather for grape cultivation. Caves Planas Albareda is a family winery and has been passed down through several generations. The winery is currently managed by the third generation of the Planas Albareda Family.

All winemaking processing at Caves Planas Albareda are done using traditional methods that have been passed down through the generations.

Xarel-lo, Macabeo, Parellada, and Chardonnay for Excellent Cava Production

Their vineyards are located in the central plain of Penedès, within the area of the DO Penedès as well as DO Cava. Caves Planas Albareda produces wines exclusively from the grapes obtained from their own vineyards, thus controlling the entire production process, from the vineyard to the cellar. They grow grape varieties such as Xarel-lo, Macabeo, Parellada, Chardonnay, Merlot, and Trepat. This region is privileged because of its good climate which makes the quality of the sparkling wines and still wines exceptional. The harvest is done with extreme care for the vines and the environment to make sure the grapes arrive whole to the winery. There are multiple red, white, rosé, and sparkling wines in production at Caves Planas Albareda. All the processing is done using traditional methods that have been passed down through the generations. High expectations in vineyards and traditional methods in the cellar account for the final product to be amazingly delicious.
