Cellers Capafons Ossó, nestled in the picturesque municipality of Falset in Tarragona, is a testament to five generations of dedicated winemaking. Surrounded by the stunning landscapes of the Montsant DO and Priorat DOQ regions, this winery benefits from rich terroirs and a unique microclimate, perfect for cultivating estate-grown grapes.
The winery operates two distinct facilities: Masia Esplanes Winery and Mas de Masos Winery. Masia Esplanes, located in the DO Montsant region, spans eight hectares and grows a variety of grapes, including Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Grenache Hairy, and Syrah. In contrast, Mas de Masos, situated in the prestigious DOQ Priorat region, covers 60 hectares, with 14 hectares dedicated to grape cultivation, featuring varieties such as Grenache Blanca and Viognier. Notably, the oldest vineyard here dates back to 1952.
Founded in 1992, Cellers Capafons Ossó has embraced modern winemaking techniques while honoring its rich heritage. The winery's oldest vines, some between 60 to 100 years old, are hand-harvested with care, ensuring only the finest grapes make their way to the cellar. This commitment to quality has established Cellers Capafons Ossó as a respected name in the Catalonian wine scene.

They recommended me to visit this winery and….. I was able to confirm that the wines are very good, as is the attention of the hosts, especially that of Mr. Francesc. In small wine cellars we almost always find great surprises. The treatment is personalized and the atmosphere is very welcoming. I felt at home, with a group of friends. A visit to an exceptional priorat winery. Wine artisans who passionately explain their connection with the land from generation to generation. Wisdom, passion, culture, and other values so obsolete today. In addition, a truly organic crop with zero posturing. Must visit in falset.
