Founded in 2004, Celler Lo is a testament to the dedication and passion of its founders. After four years of hard work, they produced their first bottle of wine in 2008, fulfilling their dream of crafting and sharing their own wines with the world. Nestled in a beautifully restored historical building in Vilella Baixa, the winery reflects the rich heritage of the region, having undergone significant restoration in 2013.
The name “Lo” pays homage to the land, inspired by the masculine article typical of the Ebro River region. Celler Lo focuses on producing high-quality organic wines that authentically represent the unique characteristics of the terroir. Utilizing both traditional methods and modern technology, the winery cultivates indigenous grape varieties such as Garnatxa, Negra, Carinyena, and Garnacha Blanca across three vineyards: La Solana in El Lloar, Mas d’en Serres, and a small plot in La Vilella Baixa. The wines are crafted through micro-fermentation, allowing the true essence of the vines and terroirs to shine through.

Even though it was during vintage Paco made time to see me, talked at length about his philosophy on wine, and took me for a short drive to see some of the vines. I bought a bottle to bring back to Australia - Lo Magic 2021. Drinking it tonight. Wow what a fantastic wine that speaks of its terroir with authority and much more power than you would expect from such an inexpensive wine. Bravo Paco!

It is a unique experience. When you talk to a person who enjoys what they do, it shows. Paco is an exceptional host, and helps you understand why Priorat wines are unique. As soon as we have the opportunity, we will return for sure.

Cellar_Lo in La Vilella Baixa with winemaker Paco is well worth a visit. A tour to the vineyards, viewing of the very old wine cellar and class DOQ Priorat wine. The basement is a beautiful building with mosaic tiles. The lunch in the vineyard is fantastic while Paco talks very well about his passion for making wine. Many thanks Paco!

Fantastic experience at the Lo winery. En Paco shared his passion and knowledge of wine with us. We had a very pleasant walk until we reached the vineyards and there he had a nice surprise for us: a tasting of their wines accompanied by a good Piscolabis. Lo Paco makes extraordinary wines, innovating with new grape varieties and with extraordinary results. A brave man adopted by the Priory. A wonder when he explains how the creation of his wines. You would spend hours listening to it. The Lo winery is worth a visit.
