A Legacy of Winemaking Since the 18th Century
A Rich Family Heritage in Bordeaux
Château Cantenac has been a cornerstone of winemaking in Bordeaux since the late 18th century. Over the years, the estate has undergone significant transformations, all aimed at enhancing the quality of its wines. A pivotal moment came in 1997 when Nicole Roskam-Brunot, the daughter of Albert, took the helm of Château Cantenac and Château Moulin de Grenet. Under her leadership, new cuvées were introduced, the vineyard expanded, and initiatives for international distribution and wine tourism flourished. In 2001, Nicole made history as one of the first female Jurats, showcasing her commitment to the region and its wines. During this time, her sons and daughters-in-law joined the family business, further enriching the estate's legacy.
In 2020, Nicole passed the management of the winery to the fourth generation, ensuring that the family’s passion for winemaking continues to thrive. Today, Château Cantenac stands as a testament to tradition, innovation, and a deep-rooted love for the art of wine.
