Nurturing the Terroir: Crafting Authentic Wines at Château Chauvin

The vineyard at Château Chauvin is meticulously managed, allowing for seamless vineyard work throughout the growing season. With 75% of the vines planted with Merlot, this grape variety flourishes in the local terroir. The remaining 25% consists of Cabernet Franc (20%) and Cabernet Sauvignon (5%), which complement the soil's unique characteristics. The vineyard team, led by Sylvie Cazes, focuses on respecting the terroir to create wines that genuinely reflect their origins. Visitors can appreciate the dedication to quality and the rich flavors that result from this careful stewardship of the land.

Matilde was a great host, with a lovely manner and made the tour a lot more fun and relaxed than some others. The area is beautiful and the wine is superb 👌🏻

Good morning We arrived this Saturday June 1st as two couples to visit Chateau Chauvin. We were alone on this visit with a super competent guide who was very interesting, very kind and willing to share her knowledge of the area. This visit was proof of what a visit to a winery should be: a moment where wine tasting and exchange complement each other and give birth to a special moment of exchange. Thank you madam, do not change anything. How lucky it is for this area to have you in its ranks for its promotion. Thank you again. Best regards

Beautiful tasting among the vineyards of Saint Emilion. Super knowledgeable guide in both English and French to discover the vineyard, the activities of the cellar up to the tasting of two glasses. Too bad that the outdoor part is all under the sun and in summer it makes the experience extremely hot. The tasting with a view of the vineyard makes the experience absolutely recommendable
