Experience the Rich Heritage and Fine Bordeaux Wines at Château de Cranne
The Story of Château de Cranne
Founded in 1833 by Jean Villars, Château de Cranne began as a modest vineyard alongside traditional farming. After marrying Eugene Patchon in 1870, they became the first winemakers in the Garonne Region, setting the stage for a legacy that continues today. Now in its seventh generation, this family-run winery is renowned for its exceptional sweet white and red wines, crafted with care and tradition.
Quality and Innovation at Château de Cranne
Château de Cranne has embraced modernization and mechanization in its winemaking process. The challenges of the Second World War led to significant advancements in agricultural practices, and the post-war era saw a rise in viticulture. The vineyard adapted by planting popular red grape varieties such as Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. The winery's philosophy centers on quality, management, and communication, ensuring the production of outstanding wines. Today, Château de Cranne spans 43 hectares, featuring white grape varieties like Sémillon, Sauvignon Blanc, Sauvignon Gris, and Muscadelle, alongside red varieties including Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Cabernet Sauvignon.
