Generations of Winemaking Tradition

Château Haut-Goujon, nestled in the prestigious Bordeaux region of France, has been a family-owned winery for over four generations. The Garde family’s commitment to sincerity, generosity, and respect for the land has shaped the estate's success. By embracing modern winemaking techniques while minimizing human intervention and avoiding sulphites, Château Haut-Goujon produces wines that genuinely reflect the terroir and family values.

Prime Vineyard Location

Located near Libourne in northeastern Bordeaux, the Château Haut-Goujon estate spans 18 hectares across the Montagne Saint Emilion and Lalande de Pomerol appellations. The vineyard primarily cultivates 80% Merlot, alongside Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Malbec, and Petit Verdot. The winery prioritizes sustainable practices to honor the natural environment. Vinification occurs in a state-of-the-art stainless steel vat room, utilizing modern techniques to enhance the wine's character. Each wine is aged in French oak barrels for twelve months, enriching it with depth and delightful vanilla aromas. Notable wines from Château Haut-Goujon include Château Haut-Goujon AOP Montagne Saint Emilion, La Fleur du Barril, Château Haut-Goujon AOP Lalande de Pomerol, La Rose Saint Vincent, Cuvee No. 1, Cuvee Cabernet, Cuvee Liberte, and Cuvee Malbec.

Warm welcome, interesting visit, tasting in a magnificent setting. I recommend these wines without added sulphite. Good value for money.

We made a spontaneous stop there and were received very hospitably. After an equally spontaneous and personal tour by our magical host, we had the opportunity to taste a few of the very good wines. It was very relaxed and even our three children had fun there. We also bought a few of the wines and can recommend a visit and the wines to everyone.

Wow! We loved the Château Haut-Goujon! Valérie gave us the most amazing and interesting tour, and we learnt so much about the process of how they make their wines and the family history of Haut-Goujon. She made it a very special tour for us, that we will never forget ♥️ Mickaël served us beautiful food, and we tried the wines. It was such a special experience, Valérie and Mickaël made us feel very welcome. We would highly recommend to stop in! The wine they make is divine! Thank you Mickaël & Valérie ❤️

I had the opportunity to meet several people from the property, each more adorable than the last. What a welcome! Let yourself be tempted by the magnificent wines of the “Cuvée Liberté” or “Mon Bouquet”! I also had the chance to taste a very special bottle whose energy overflows well beyond the known. The alchemists on the property will tell you better than me, just ask!
