Château Jouvente

A warm welcome. Simple and very interesting explanation of the wines tasted. We had a great time. The red wines are excellent, as is the Sauterne, which is very good. The wines are quite expensive, however.

Came for a wine tasting with friends. The person who welcomed us was very pleasant, with very in-depth knowledge in his field, both in the method of making wine and the way of putting into words what you have in your mouth. We were able to taste all the vintages, even the most prestigious, which not all estates necessarily do. The price seemed slightly expensive to us. But the quality of the wine and the work provided are impeccable. Thank you for this welcome.

We came for a wine tasting. The person who runs the property and welcomed us was incredible. She shared her passion for wine and taught us a lot about its production and its taste, aromas, and sensations in the mouth. We had a really pleasant time and tasted some very good things, including some from the best vintages, which isn't the case at all wineries. The wines are of high quality. The only downside for us is the price, which we still found a bit high. Thank you for this pleasant moment.

The kindness of the owner. A lovely guy who did the tasting in Spanish (difficult here). He was very kind and the wine was delicious. Totally recommended.

Excellent Very pleasant and warm welcome, we toured the entire area. What we did with our 5 and 8 year old daughters. They really appreciated this discovery in a fun way, a very good idea for this treasure hunt and to finish with an excellent tasting! Thank you for this moment of relaxation and discovery. We got a very nice tasting of three wines, paired with three different kind of ice Cream. The owner was very kind and was very passionate about his products. Worth a visit if you’re in the Sauterne-region!

Very interesting visit to a small chateau, the very kind Emilia told us everything, from the fascinating history of the building, a former temporary prison, to the vineyards, terroir, winemaking and refinement techniques, impact of the climate .... a truly different and interesting experience compared to those done with large groups in the largest and most famous Chateau. At the end, tasting of 3 reds, 1 white and 1 sauterne with very accurate explanations. I asked to speak slowly and I understood everything, a fundamental aspect of the visit! Discovered this place through a wine tour and wow am I happy they took us here. If great wine combined with an energetic and passionate winemaker is your thing look no further. We were greeted by Benjamin and got the full tour including tasting. The tour of the wine yard also included tasting the wine at the different stages of its process, which gave a real understanding of how the wine develops during the making. In the end we decided to scrap our lunch plans and stay longer with Benjamin learning more about their history and the wines. Will be def be part of our go to Bordeaux’s!
