Cutting-Edge Technology at Château La Croizille

Château La Croizille spans five hectares and is situated on a prime clay and limestone plateau. Managed by the De Schepper – De Mour family for generations, this winery merges traditional winemaking practices with modern technology to create exceptional wines. The oceanic climate of the Saint-Emilion region plays a crucial role in the vineyard's success, providing ideal conditions for grape cultivation. Located on the Right Bank of the Dordogne in Bordeaux, Château La Croizille benefits from its rich clay and limestone soils.

The Importance of Terroir

The vineyard enjoys a balanced distribution of rainfall and temperature throughout the year, making it perfect for grape growing. Warm summers allow grapes to ripen beautifully, while the nearby Dordogne and Isle rivers protect the vines from frost during spring. The vineyard's soil consists of soft sandstone rock and clay, which retains moisture effectively, allowing vines to thrive even in dry conditions. The diverse terroir includes clay-limestone soils, blue and red clays, and pure limestone, all contributing to the unique character of the wines produced here.

Experience Château La Croizille

Château La Croizille offers exclusive overnight accommodations, along with wine workshops, tastings, and guided tours. Visitors can enjoy a range of events throughout the year, making it a perfect destination for wine enthusiasts and travelers alike.

We were very well looked after and Chateau Croizille is well worth a visit, but paying 14 euros for the tour is expensive if you also buy a case of wine.

My friend and I booked last minute to do the tour on the same day and we were accommodated without any problems. The guide adapts to the visitors and their personal knowledge. We also really enjoyed the explanations during the tasting. Thank you for this pleasant visit!

A fascinating little winery that had great views of some local fields. The wines were very good and our guide was very knowledgeable of the wine making prices and their wines (her English was much better than the other chateau we visited).

I had a great discovery visit and wine tasting experience with a staff (I cannot remember his name but he said he was from Georgia) and vineyard looked great. Wine tasted nice and it was even better to learn about how they were made. They were described as dog friendly from a famous dog-friendly travel blog but they did not allow a dog anymore so my dog had to stay in their office during the tour.

Château Croizille was such an amazing experience, it was a beautiful day and nice walk around, after our tour we had the wine tasting on a balcony facing the vineyard. You can really enjoy a nice view, good wine with someone you care! What else do you need? Would definitely recommend. Saint-Émilion Grand Cru Classé👌🏽 pick a good wine and let me know what you think!

We had a picnic on site with wine and then we visited the place. This was followed by a tasting of several wines, quite different from each other. Everything went well and the landscape was magnificent, price-wise it remains very reasonable. I recommend it whether you are a connoisseur or not!
