Passionate Winemakers Sharing Their Love for Bordeaux Wines
The Story of Château Tifayne
Founded in 1997, Château Tifayne is the result of a long-standing passion for winemaking. The journey began in 1989 when the founders managed a vineyard in Gironde, igniting their love for wine. Over the years, they cultivated the land and built cellars, culminating in the opening of the winery to visitors in 2011. Today, guests can enjoy guided tours of the vineyard, complemented by wine tasting experiences in a welcoming reception hall.
Unique Terroir and Flavor Profiles
Château Tifayne spans 13 hectares of clay and limestone soil in the Monbadon municipality, part of the Côtes de Bordeaux region, the largest AOC vineyard in France. This diverse terroir significantly influences the unique flavors of the wines produced here. The winery offers a selection of dry white wines, rosé, and Crémant de Bordeaux, along with red wines crafted from Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, and Malbec grapes. In 2008, they began cultivating Muscadelle for their dry white wine offerings.
A Relaxing Weekend Retreat
In addition to the vineyard and cellars, Château Tifayne features four comfortable guest rooms for an overnight stay. Guests can enjoy amenities such as free WiFi, a terrace, a shaded patio, and a swimming pool, making it an ideal spot to relax while savoring the beautiful surroundings and exquisite wines.
