Magnificently settled on top of the hillside in the village of Néac, Chateau Tournefeuille is a family-owned winery. This popular winery has been producing authentic wines for over two hundred years. Indeed, the winery’s existence can be traced to the mid 17th century by looking at the 1785 Beyleme map.

The Story of Château Tournefeuille and their Viticultural Methods

Owned and operated by the Sautarel family for many decades, the childhood friends François Petit and Francis Cambier purchased the winery in 1998. The Petit and Cambier families consistently invest to improve the wine. They prefer using more natural viticultural techniques and stringent selection of grapes to produce unique and quality wines. In an article on affordable wines from Bordeaux, The Wall Street Journal featured the 2004 Château Tournefeuille as “soft and velvety, bursting with ripe fruit and balancing acidity, with a mineral undertone.”

Tournefeuille’s winery calls you to taste wines, have lunch and dinner and stay overnight or as long as you want. On the terrace, you’ll enjoy Tournefeuille’s surrounding vineyards and the iconic Pétrus, Gazin, Cheval Blanc facing the estate. In Tournefeuille’s cellars, you will taste wines from three appellations – Lalande de Pomerol, Pomerol, and Saint-Emilion Grand Cru. Having lunch or dinner between vineyard and cellar in a beautiful tasting room overlooking the vineyards will be a memorable moment of your lifetime.
