Clos 93 Winery – Established by Three Friends in 2008

The Clos 93 Winery was established by three friends who all share their love for wine. Their venture officially started in 2008 when Rubén Sabaté, an enologist student, began crafting wines for local consumption in Priorat. The name of the winery, Clos 93, has two different meanings. The word Clos refers to an enclosed space where ancient vinee were grown in an enclosed vineyard space. The number 9 signifies the word, nine, which in Catalan is “nou” and this was chosen because as this winery was new to the region. The number 3 epresents the three friends and partners who begn the business together. Another significance to the number 93 is that Clos 93 was the 93rd winery to register in the Priorat DOCa of Spain.

The Winery Focuses on Garnacha Blanca, Pedro Ximenez, and Syrah

Wines are Aged in French Oak Barrels for 9 Months
