Authentic Wines from Kabistoni Winery in Georgia
Wines of the Kabistoni Winery
Didgori Winemaking, a brand under the Kabistoni Winery, is the brainchild of renowned viticulturist Gela Kipiani. Revitalized in 2002, the winery aims to restore traditional winemaking practices in the picturesque Racha-Lechkhumi region of Georgia. A key focus of Kipiani's efforts is the revival of the Kabistoni grape, which was once on the verge of extinction.
Didgori Winemaking Wines
At Didgori Winemaking, Giorgi Kipiani and his dedicated team craft wines that reflect their family heritage. All grapes are grown on-site, ensuring that each bottle embodies the essence of the Kipiani family legacy. The wines are uniquely labeled to honor the Didgori name, celebrating the rich tradition of Georgian singing and local chanting ensembles that have thrived for over a decade. Each year, the winery produces around 300 bottles using 12 qvevris, with production gradually increasing to meet rising demand. Recently, Kipiani discovered a collection of old qvevris in his village, which he now uses to create wines from grapes sourced from nearby farms. All Didgori Winemaking wines are completely natural, crafted without chemicals, sulfates, or artificial additives, making them a pure representation of the region's winemaking heritage.
